VolkerHighways’ telecoms specialist division rebrands to VolkerTelecoms
VolkerHighways’ telecoms division, which is integral in the nationwide roll out of fibre networks for ultrafast broadband connections, has rebranded to VolkerTelecoms.
The rebrand is to simplify and strengthen the business, as it continues to provide best-in-class network solutions that improves efficiencies and is future-proofed as the UK continues to rely on fast broadband services.
VolkerTelecoms is providing a full turnkey solution from exchange to property boundaries, including all civils and fibre works. The team is using a hybrid installation solution which includes building both new underground trench duct networks and overhead infrastructure, as well as using existing infrastructure. This combined installation will provide a faster and more efficient delivery, enabling most residents and businesses in the areas VolkerTelecoms operates in, to access the UK’s fastest broadband.
VolkerTelecoms is currently operational in multiple locations across Southern England. Since the first project went live in February 2020, 1,105,172 metres of trench has been excavated and reinstated and 187,261 homes have been passed across the projects.
