Adrian Shah-Cundy, head of corporate responsibility at VolkerWessels UK said: “We are very proud to not only be presented with a record number of awards won by our sites, but also to receive five Gold awards, which is a substantial increase from one Gold award in 2015.
“We pride ourselves on the work we do to continuously promote the construction industry and the positive increase of sites recognised, for the great practices and high standards they produce on site, in and around the local communities.”
During the 14 award ceremonies a total of 932 awards were presented with 173 achieving Gold Awards, 293 Silver Awards and 430 Bronze Awards.
The CCS provides construction sites, companies and suppliers the opportunity to voluntarily register with the scheme and agree to abide by the code of considerate practice, designed to encourage best practice throughout the industry.
