Driving the Future

VolkerHighways hosts ‘Driving the Future’ Event

On Thursday, VolkerHighways held its latest Driving the Future, client and supply chain engagement day, at Reading FC Stadium.

Driving the Future

The one-day event brought together local authorities, public and private sector clients, supply chain partners and representatives from across VolkerHighways to an open-forum to explore the latest industry-leading technologies, products and services.

An insightful day where we heard from a range of speakers, sharing their insights and experiences, with innovation and sustainability at the top of the agenda. We heard from experts covering key topics including road safety, AI, decarbonisation, social value, sustainable transport and much more.

A packed agenda, we heard from Vaisala on achieving efficiencies through advancements in highway data collection, VivaCity on protecting vulnerable road users with AI, Highway Care on automation in traffic management and Robotiz3d road maintenance reinvented.

VolkerHighways also updated attendees on its PAS2080 and social value progress. Around the room was also filled with supply chain partners who had the opportunity to share their products and services, helping to inspire and contribute positively to our evolving sector.

We also had an outside exhibition where the latest carbon-reduction technology, innovative safety equipment and plant was demonstrated.
