For the second year in a row, VolkerHighways sponsored the Lifetime Achievement Award which recognises an individual whose achievements have been far-reaching.
Peter Hyde, managing director at VolkerHighways presented winner Jenny Moody MBE with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her inspirational work for Luton's Woman's Aid, an organisation she started in her attic nearly 40 years ago.
Peter Hyde commented "VolkerHighways has maintained and improved the highways in Luton for the last 16 years. We have built a relationship with the local community and it is important to us to recognise their amazing work and achievements."
The awards, which have been running in conjunction with Love Luton in celebration of all that Luton has to offer, recognise the work and efforts of local people of all ages, who show courage, generosity and community spirit.
