People-Planet-Purpose: VolkerHighways’ new sustainability framework
Following the launch of VolkerWessels UK’s People-Planet-Purpose sustainability framework last year, VolkerHighways is delighted to share its business-specific framework, which sets its own targets and goals, to help reduce the business’ environmental impact.
People-Planet-Purpose builds on excellent foundations and unlocks VolkerHighways’ desire to take bold action, to balance the needs of the environment and society, while continuing to grow economically.
The framework commits the business to a ‘Decade of Action’ and sets a flexible, agile, and empowering structure, for the coming years. It also conveys the collective ambitions and achievements of VolkerHighways and its stakeholders.
Each of the People-Planet-Purpose pillars in VolkerHighways’ framework has three themes and a total of 32 high level metrics, to allow the business to measure and monitor performance.
The themes are:
