Multi-car rapid charging hub

Woolwich, London

The CVU joint venture, comprising Colas, VolkerHighways and AECOM, has constructed an eight-car rapid charging hub with eight additional parking spaces, adjacent to the Woolwich Ferry on behalf of Transport for London.

The charging hub aims to encourage Woolwich Ferry users to make use of electric cars by providing them with the facility to charge their cars in just one-hour.

The project highlights the team’s capability to provide bespoke, environmentally friendly charging hubs, which will help to support the country’s transition from petrol to electric vehicles over the coming years.
