VolkerHighways dress down Friday raises £925 charity

Recent

As a way of supporting local charities, VolkerHighways head office asks employees to donate £1 in return for wearing casual attire to work each Friday.

During 2011 a total of £925 was raised from various company events including Dress Down Friday. Donations were split between Great Ormond Street Hospital, MacMillan Nurses and Wood Green and Blue Cross Animal Welfare Centres. This years' charity of choice is the Richard House Children's Hospice and so far £70 has been donated from the programme.

Richard House Children's Hospice in Newham, east London, provides care and support for life-limited children and children with complex healthcare conditions and their families from across east and north east London. The hospice accompanies them during the child or young person's journey, creating positive experiences and memories for the future.
