Recent

The VolkerHighways Medway team regularly go out into the local community to engage with residents and community groups as well as offer road safety advice.

Rainbows

The team have recently visited a local Rainbows group to give a fun and informative talk about road safety and safety around building sites. The action packed event feature a number of activities designed to improve youngsters’ knowledge of safety including a special ‘hunt the hazard’ game.

We also visited Woodlands Primary School and planted two new trees with help from children from the school. Whilst at the school, we discussed the importance of trees in the environment and gave them small shovels and kitted them out in some PPE so that they were able to help with the planting.

The team were invited back by the class a week later where they were presented with letters and drawings thanking them for their work.
