An independent panel reviews hundreds of companies each year based on their performance against the Company Code of Considerate Practice. Only the highest scoring 10% are selected to receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.
In April 2012, our Term Maintenance Contract for the London Borough of Hackney was presented a Silver National Site Award for demonstrating our commitment to the CCS code of practice. This is the third year in a row VolkerHighways has been awarded in the CCS for the Hackney Borough. Last year, VolkerHighways was awarded the prestigious Gold award which rarely is awarded to highways maintenance contracts. This success builds upon our achievements in 2010 as well, where our Hackney team received Silver, with a high score of 37 out of 40 and our Enfield team picked up a Bronze award.
Our strong performance on these contracts supports our aim of becoming the UK highways services provider of choice.
