Park House

VolkerHighways was contracted by Mace Group to carry out this hard landscaping project at Park House in central London, the largest development on Oxford Street for 40 years.

This high profile residential, office and retail development in Oxford Street, Central London, comprised of replacing the existing paving with higher quality york stone in North Row and PCC Paving in Oxford Street, the planing off and re-surfacing of the adjacent carriageway, and the installation of street furniture and street lighting and soft landscaping.

Early contractor involvement (ECI) meant VolkerHighways was able to assist the client team; providing options to achieve the team's aspirations, whilst making the most of VolkerHighways' in-house specialist teams. VolkerHighways developed a programme with planned phasing for the external works. This meant that VolkerHighways could provide lead times for the natural stone and concrete paving products, which enabled the project team to gain approval from Westminster City Council and tie in the sequencing with the delivery plan.

Early contractor involvement allows VolkerHighways to contribute to design, scheduling and the choice of products, which ultimately saves the project time and money.
