VolkerHighways have been carrying out highways maintenance works in the London Borough of Haringey since July 2009. During this time we have completed a variety of activities including, carriageway works, planned and reactive maintenance works and drainage.
Our teams also carry out footway replacement schemes on a rolling programme of projects that are negotiated during the year. VolkerHighways also provide parks and recreation services that include footway repairs, minor alterations and small landscaping schemes.
As part of the term maintenance contract VolkerHighways deliver a responsive street lighting service involving maintenance, renewal and improvement works. We maintain approximately 16,100 street lights within the borough alongside a range of illuminated and non-illuminated street furniture including bollards and signs.
Haringey is a diverse and densely populated urban area and as such effective public and stakeholder liaison is a vital requirement for maintaining the high service quality perception of the contract delivery. VolkerHighways undertake work in an efficient, safe and considerate manner, including liaison with affected residents and traders. This approach is underpinned by our Associate Membership of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and following these principles in our Haringey operations.
