Since April 2007, VolkerHighways have been carrying out highways maintenance works for the London Borough of Barnet. Activities include reactive maintenance, gully cleaning, footway renewals, carriageway resurfacing, drainage works, road marking and weed spraying.
Our teams also carry out an annual inspection of bridges within the borough. Typically, the resulting works orders have related to the implementation of safety oriented maintenance works to the bridge carriageway.
We carry out works to 672km of carriageway within the borough, many of which run through residential areas. Our public facing operatives receive customer care training to ensure we accommodate the needs of the public. Mr Gudgeon, a local resident of Barnet praised our approach saying:
