Celebrating its 50th birthday in September, VolkerHighways Gabriel, formerly Gabriel (Contractors) Ltd., was established in Enfield, North London in 1959 by Peter Wilson, and Celt Gabriel. The company took on small projects and term maintenance contracts for London local authorities, growing steadily through the 1980s and 1990s.
Today, VolkerHighways Gabriel is widely recognised as a civil engineering contractor that specialises in external works providing both its public and private clients with a high standard of workmanship and its staff with an open and friendly environment in which to work. Many of the team have been with the company for over 20 years and this loyalty is a major factor in the success of the business.
