VolkerHighways Crowley, formerly John Crowley (Maidstone) Ltd., was founded in 1977 as a surfacing and asphalt patching company in Kent. The company grew and relocated to Bow in East London in 1980 where it operated principally within the local authority arena undertaking highway maintenance works. The business continued to expand with its experienced and loyal staff delivering a quality service on time and within budget.
The company now provides a range of in house services for a broad spectrum of clients throughout London, the Home Counties and the South East. These include conservation and heritage restoration work, grounds maintenance and landscaping, highway maintenance, traffic management, surfacing, road markings and civil and project engineering works. It tenders for contracts in almost every local authority in this area and also works with other public and private sector organisations including housing associations, development agencies, health authorities and commercial businesses.
